Tooth surface strengthening shot blasting machine
Performance Characteristics
he high-speed projectile particles continuously impact the tooth surface, just like countless small hammers hitting the tooth surface, so that the tooth surface produces extremely strong plastic deformation, so that the tooth surface produces a certain thickness of cold hardening layer, which is the hardening layer of the tooth surface, resulting in strengthening and surface compressive stress. A surface cold treatment strengthening technology to improve fatigue strength and service life of gears. Shot peening is also known as enhanced shot peening or controlled shot peening.
Gear shot peening is a controlled shot peening technology, which is to continuously impact the high-speed projectile flow on the tooth surface, so that the tooth surface will undergo plastic deformation under the impact of the projectile flow (the thick¬ness of the plastic deformation layer is usually between 0.1-0.8mm). This effect extends to the surface of the gear material, where higher residual compressive stress, work hardening and microstructure refinement and other favorable changes are generated under the surface, which offset the undesirable tensile stress. The residual compressive stress delays the formation of fatigue fracture, effectively improves the fatigue strength of the gear and prolongs the service life of the gear.
